If you only knew the games!  And I surely will tell them to anyone.

For instance:

I don't mind the undercutting as it is part of competition.  But when I find the same farmer continuously trying to stop me then I notice.

If it continues then I notice the name and the war begins.  This farm will find them in every single area of the market and undercut them.

And not only for one day!

day after day after day after day ..................... for a long long long time.  There is going to be a winner!

And when I finish with that farmer then that farmer will list like they have some sense and not play with this farm.  Some are even selling to me and pricing accordingly.  We both win.

The farm will not cheat in the game though.  Some players KNOW that there are players who use methods such as looking behind the screen in order to try and see what is in store.

They are cheats and engaging in unfair competition as the information is not disclosed to all by the game team.  All kinds of things go on in this game that cannot readily be seen.

This farm is an entirely free farm and must out think cheats in the market in order to progress.  EV analysis methods help!

Like I said, I'm glad I'm not on your market. LOL From time to time, I spot someone who undercuts me for awhile. As you said this is part of the game. I'll do it to.

wow I do not bother anyone until they start.  You might even like it if we were on the same market.   YESSS!   If you needed something all you would need to do is to let me know. And you set the price too.  I would not care.

I've offered the same to others in the En Forum after knowing what they need and they will not buy from me because they have to set the price. hahahaha

I saw you asked about an animal.  I am not ignoring your question and am just thinking how to answer.

I would take advantage too much thud and then feel too guilty.  girl blush whahahaha belly laugh Grin

Part of my enjoyment of this game is figuring out how I can buy my high level breeding animals (or any other seemingly impossible task) on my own. I like learning so learning new skills especially when I learn something that in naturally very uncomfortable for me enhances my experience of this game. Through the years, I have been able to transfer these new skills into my RL which has also enhanced my RL so I am excited to be learning from you once again.

Well as the CC to EV rate may differ amongs players and also the will to pay something for something maybe it is nice to have a sheet like my example.

Have the games base EV worth and have some rates in the chart. And no I will NOT use the official EN forum as source  pchaha

At least the chart would be handy for some while shopping, to actually know what a fruit (or whatever animal/product) is worth to the game.

G-up - you poor dear! I'm sorry you had to experience that kind of loss. there there I would happily replace all of your spreadsheets & notes, but I don't use them. I used to collect them - just collect them, but never used them. I will search what I have to see if anything is useful. I am sure with the generosity that abounds here - plus the fact that there are a lot of smart people around that we can replace your spread sheet & notes.

As for the printed threads, it may be time to make new ones.  WhooHoo

Re: Market exchange

Post by farmer_broke on Mon Jan 16 2017, 19:29

@Sleepy

The CC to exchange will differ by each item, it will differ by each class of items (for example the types of animals or the types of crops), the rate for tree fruit will change during the year, there is no EV for craft items which may be sold but there is a suggested market value for some, some craft items have no suggested market value or EV, farm crop rates differ individual and by class, crops also differ in the same manner for BAHA, ... This goes on and on.  There is method to this though.

Sleepy I have tried endlessly for three years to try and explain EV an the analysis to members off the En Forum and have had very little success even with elementary topics.

I have provided charted of tree fruit to jump start those working the harvest hoedown  To go further that beginning must be applied.  Generating the charts themselves is basic and the basic information does not change.

Knowledge of the game and applying it is important.

Knowledge of some spreadsheet package is mandatory.  One must be able to prepare a spreadsheet or this is too much repetitive handwork.

To gather just the EVs for all items in the game is a massive undertaking and I do not recommend it to begin.

Breeding animals have an EV and that is near the last area I recommend beginning in.

Well I just made this with Tookies assistence, I type she reads. Went pretty fast
I understand that the worth of items change, but for some endeavours I wonder. If one just is gathering treefruits to dunk in the HH black hole for example, the rate at which you buy should be all the same for all fruits. As it does not matter what one donates. Or am I wrong?

This chart is in the basic order the market has it listed in.

Re: Market exchange

Post by farmer_broke on Mon Jan 16 2017, 20:15

@Sleepy

I looked at anthropoids in the game the other day.  I take a market price for each about once every two weeks if I can.  I can see the rates stable or going up or going down.  I buy accordingly and know I will have to hold until I can at least get the price + the 10% listing commission back or I will loose.  Or I buy and sell like it was lettuce.   So when the farm buys 50,000 peacock it is not making wild purchases because at the same time it is buying an animal that looks good as a possible breeding animal and funds are sunk or is buying crops because I can see which are moving at what speed.

Sleepy, I feel we have always been honest and to the point with one another.  I'll be honest with you now:

If anyone gets together their own spread sheet I will assist them in understanding everything I know about EVs and analysis to their limit or mine, whichever comes first.

I will not blindly put out a list of all EVs to be stored file.  I've tried that approach only to find many do not understand the game enough to take on EV and analysis for decision making.

You have the technical skill needed to prepare a simple spread sheet, your questions indicate the knowledge necessary, you know the game ..... I do not know what you want to know from the information or whether or not you will use it to play the market or to see game direction.

If you want to master the use of EV then: Pick a class of items, list them in one column, in the next column list the EV of each (from wherever you get them from), in the next column list the market values of each as taken from your market (be certain to title this column with the date), and in the next column take the market value and divide by the EV (cells in column two divided by cells in column three) <------ this is your beginning rate for each item.

We can go from there.

I have previously posted just what you have and others get little from it and that surfaces and I find it only slows them down to the point of stopping.  But you have it!

You sure the EVs are right?  One time is all I would want to do it.

The order column you have is how you find most useful for you now and that is great.  As you see what you are doing then you may wish to sort at sometime.
